Executive coaching for leaders who have to execute.

Practical coaching for CEOs, founders and senior executives inside their real decisions and conversations, so the priorities from a retreat keep shaping the work long after the room empties.

What it is

Everest Executive Coaching is practical coaching for CEOs, founders and senior executives, done inside the real decisions and conversations of their week, so the priorities a leadership team sets get executed once the pressure of daily work returns.

The coaches are Everest Collective's co-founders, Mike Fromhold, a former CEO, and Brittany Tipton, a former EVP, who have owned P&Ls, reported to boards and led teams through the same situations their clients face.

Who it's for

  • Leadership teams coming out of a retreat or planning session who want the priorities they wrote to keep shaping decisions long after the room empties.
  • CEOs and founders who want a thought partner who has run a business, sat across from a board and made the hard calls themselves.
  • Senior leaders stepping into a bigger role who need to lead through harder conversations, larger teams and higher stakes.
What it looks like

How the work runs.

Format
A steady cadence of coaching built around what the leader is working on right now. We revisit priorities, look at progress and deal with challenges as they come up, working inside live leadership situations so the coaching stays tied to the work.
Length
Available as a single engagement or an ongoing partnership, depending on what the leader and the team need.
Who's in the room
The executive and their Everest coach.

What you get

  • Real-time coaching on the decisions, conversations and trade-offs in front of you
  • Help communicating decisions clearly and handling hard conversations well
  • Support that keeps retreat commitments shaping how the team decides and executes
  • A plan tailored to what the team needs, with no fixed curriculum
What changes

Priorities hold.

A plan written at a retreat tends to lose ground the first busy Wednesday back. Coaching keeps those two or three priorities in front of the leaders who own them while real work tries to crowd them out.

Hard conversations happen sooner, because leaders have someone to prepare them with and a clear way to say the difficult thing with care. Decisions get made faster and closer to the people doing the work.

The aim throughout is durability. We stay in the work with you until your leaders carry it themselves and the cadence is part of how the team runs, with no dependence on us.

Where to start

Coaching works best after a retreat.

The retreat is where the team gets clear on what matters most and writes the plan. Coaching is how we stay in the work with you while that plan gets executed, because it reinforces decisions the team has already made.

Coaching is a separate engagement and is not included in a retreat. Every retreat ends with a single written readout of the team's priorities and plan, and teams that want support executing it add coaching from there. If you are still deciding what the priorities should be, start with the retreat.

On the coaches, from a leader who worked with Mike before Everest

“I would not be the leader I am today without Mike Fromhold's tutelage. He has led multi-billion dollar divisions and been a CEO of a company. My firsthand experience was when he led a group of Executive Leaders, (overseeing markets like LA, NYC, D.C) through unimaginable adversity during COVID and grew! The members of that team, which lasted about 2.5 years consistently spoke about it as the greatest team they had ever been a part of. I've seen Brittany first hand level up leaders and transform teams through her own leadership and consulting. Hiring Everest; Mike and Brittany, to elevate your business is a no brainer!”

Questions

Executive Coaching FAQs

Is coaching included in an Executive Leadership Retreat?

No. A retreat includes a single written readout after the retreat. Executive Coaching is its own engagement, and many teams add it once they have the readout in hand and want help executing the plan.

Do we need to do a retreat before coaching?

Coaching works best after a retreat or planning session, since it builds on priorities the team has already set. If your team has not set those priorities yet, the retreat is the better place to start.

How long does a coaching engagement last?

It can be a single engagement or an ongoing partnership. The length depends on what the leader and the team need. At the University of Dallas, coaching and thought partnership ran for nine months after the retreat.

Who are the coaches?

Mike Fromhold and Brittany Tipton, Everest Collective's co-founders. Mike is a former CEO who spent 15 years rising to senior executive at a multi-billion-dollar company. Brittany is a former EVP who built the culture consulting arm of a multi-billion-dollar business.

Is this therapy or life coaching?

No. We are former executives, and the focus is the leadership challenge in front of you, applying what the team agreed to and moving it to action.

Will you bring in new frameworks?

No. Coaching reinforces the priorities and commitments your team already made, so leaders spend their energy executing the plan they built.
